Learning Objectives 

  • The primary goal for our conference is to disseminate the latest evidence-based research on life course theory and women’s health through a high quality and interactive regional conference.
  • The specific objectives for this conference are to:
    • Facilitate interaction and collaboration between national leaders in women’s health research from institutions across the Upper Midwest by providing a forum for sharing women’s health and sex/gender differences research from a broad range of disciplines and professional perspectives.
    • Highlight nationally and locally recognized speakers on Life Course Theory.
    • Present a platform for researchers to present their research posters on innovative women’s health and sex/gender differences topics with time allotted interact with other researchers.
    • Provide four interactive workshops and one moderated panel on aspects of life course and women’s health, including topics on: early exposures impact on chronic disease; nutrition/obesity impact; pregnancy exposure consequences, purposeful living: healthy life choices for wellbeing; environmental influences on health; and psychological support for life transitions.
